Lions Club Coat Drive
The Sandwich-Bourne Lions is holding their annual coat drive from November 1, through December 20, 2014. The club is a community partner with Anton’s Cleaners’ Coats for Kids drive. Residents of the two towns are asked to donate gently used coats for kids and adults. All sizes are needed, and they will take used, good quality warm winter coats, jackets, mittens, gloves, scarves, vests and sweatshirts -- Items that you would give to a friend. Sandwich residents can drop items off at the Stop & Shop stores on Quaker Meetinghouse Road and Route 6A, Rockland Trust Bank on Cotuit Rd, as well as the Eastern Banks on Route 6A or Cotuit Road. Bourne residents can drop clothing off at the Rockland Trust Bank, 172 Clay Pond Road off Rte. 28or the Bourne Community Center on Main St in Buzzards Bay. Anton Cleaners will clean the donated items and send them to community agencies to distribute them to those in need.
