The Martha’s Vineyard Food & Wine Festival (MVFWF)--, hosted by the Edgartown Board of Trade, has quickly grown into a world-class wine and culinary extravaganza on Martha’s Vineyard and has become a signature for the Town of Edgartown. The Festival begins with “Fresh off the Farm”, a dine around event featuring everything Martha’s Vineyard on Thursday, October 16. Saturday’s Grand Tasting features wines, celebrity chefs, and cooking demos paired with wines. The Festival culminates on Sunday at the culinary Grand Sunday Brunch held at the Harbor View Hotel. http://www.mvfoodandwine.com/

Bruce Pratt to perform at EPOCH of Harwich (Sept. 23) HARWICH—EPOCH Senior Healthcare of Harwich will welcome classical pianist Bruce Pratt for a performance on Tuesday, Sept. 23 at 2 p.m. With a flair for drama and humor, Pratt engages audiences with stories of the composers and music he performs. Rick Olsen to perform at EPOCH of Harwich (Sept. 24) HARWICHEPOCH Senior Healthcare of Harwich will welcome Rick Olsen for a performance on Wednesday, Sept. 24 at 2:15 p.m. Olsen is known as “The Man of  a Thousand Songs” for his extensive repertoire of music. The 13th Annual Capt. Gerald F. DeConto, USN Scholarship 5k Run/Walk (September 21, 2014) 

The 5k run/walk funds a scholarship given each year to a Sandwich High School senior in memory of Capt. DeConto, who was killed on Sept. 11th 2001 during the terrorist attack on the Pentagon. Over the last twelve years we have been please to hand out over $55,000. in scholarships to deserving Sandwich high School students to help them with their higher education costs.
