The Martha’s Vineyard Food & Wine Festival (MVFWF)--, hosted by the Edgartown Board of Trade, has quickly grown into a world-class wine and culinary extravaganza on Martha’s Vineyard and has become a signature for the Town of Edgartown. The Festival begins with “Fresh off the Farm”, a dine around event featuring everything Martha’s Vineyard on Thursday, October 16. Saturday’s Grand Tasting features wines, celebrity chefs, and cooking demos paired with wines. Making Ends Meet Cape Wide support (mid-July to mid-September)- Twenty two Cape restaurants are partnering with four local non-profits to ensure that a safety net is maintained for the many Cape Codders who, even with multiple jobs, need help making ends meet. Victrola Society to perform ‘Oldies but Goodies’ at EPOCH of Harwich (Aug. 27) HARWICHEPOCH Senior Healthcare of Harwich will welcome the Victrola Society on Wednesday, August 27 at 2:30 p.m. The chorus will perform the program “Oldies but Goodies,” featuring popular songs from classic films. EPOCH of Harwich to host breakfast with COA (Aug. 29) HARWICHEPOCH Senior Healthcare of Harwich will host a breakfast and health discussion with the Harwich Council on Aging on Friday, August 29 at 8 a.m. Betsy Lose, MA, CCC-SLP, Rehab Manager of EPOCH, will present on fall prevention. Learn strategies to reduce the risk for falls among seniors and promote their wellbeing and independence. This event is free and open to the public, but space is limited. Thursday Evening Summer Concerts at The Unitarian Universalist Meeting HouseEvery Thursday evening at 7:30pm, in July and August, we will present some of Cape Cod’s finest musical talent. Thursday, July 3rd will feature Ken Burns' favorite pianist, Jacqueline Schwab, with Premier Fiddler, Rose Clancy. A free will offering of $10 is suggested. The 13th Annual Capt. Gerald F. DeConto, USN Scholarship 5k Run/Walk (September 21, 2014) 

The 5k run/walk funds a scholarship given each year to a Sandwich High School senior in memory of Capt. DeConto, who was killed on Sept. 11th 2001 during the terrorist attack on the Pentagon. Over the last twelve years we have been please to hand out over $55,000. in scholarships to deserving Sandwich high School students to help them with their higher education costs.
