Cape Cod Baseball League- The summer is in full swing with the CCBL featuring a 44 game regular season of high level amateur and college baseball players from around the country. With the All-Star game coming up July 27th at Doran Park in Bourne, now is your chance to take advantage and see some exciting baseball being played. Thursday Evening Summer Concerts (Every Thursday during July and August) Chatham - Every Thursday evening at 7:30pm will present some of Cape Cods finest musical talent. Thursday the 17th of July will feature Allan brooks with Lary Chaplin on violin, Lillian Enright on piano and Jim Gordon on guitar and mandolin. Songs from Cole Porter and Gene Autry to Wagner and Verdi. A free will offering of $10 is suggested. Making Ends Meet Cape Wide support (mid-July to mid-September)- Twenty two Cape restaurants are partnering with four local non-profits to ensure that a safety net is maintained for the many Cape Codders who, even with multiple jobs, need help making ends meet. With the support of local restaurants, Participating restaurants include: Brewster; Kates, Chatham; The Chatham Squire, The Red Nun Bar and Grill and many more! Come out and Support! Thank you, 

 

Summer Percussion Camps, (July 12 and August 23) Hyannis- The Spirit of America Winter Percussion Ensemble is offering two camps for young people on Cape Cod to learn basic percussion technique or brush up on skills learned during the school year. Youth of all ages and levels of musical ability are welcome to come and enjoy, camps run from 9am-5pm at Barnstable Intermediate School gymnasium. Admission is FREE. Parents are welcome to attend. The Annual Quilt Show sponsored by Bayberry Quilters July 31- (August 1-2) Harwich- "Got Scraps?", the annual quilt show will be held at the Cape Cod Regional Technical High School, The show features over 350 quilts and includes lectures, demonstrations, a quilt raffle; quilt appraisals, a boutique of handcrafted items, a small quilt and basket raffle, refreshments and projects for adults and children to make at the show. 351 Pleasant Lake Avenue, Harwich from 9:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.

 

Organ and Brass Concerts (August 1-3) Orleans- Enjoy a summer concert of brass ensemble and the E.M. Skinner organ in the acoustically resplendent Church of the Transfiguration, a modern expression of an ancient basilican style of architecture at Rock Harbor in Orleans, MA. Julie Charland to entertain at EPOCH of Harwich (Aug. 6) HARWICH—Julie Charland will entertain at EPOCH Senior Healthcare of Harwich on Wednesday, August 6 at 2:30 p.m. Charland is a folk guitarist often accompanied by the standup bass. Cape Cod Roller Derby Showdown (August 9th)- At 5PM HYCC are excited to host the Inaugural Intraleague "bout" of theCape Cod Roller Derby group who have been practicing each week in the Butler dry floor arena. Tickets are $10 for adults and $5 for kids ages 6-17 (Under 5 are FREE) and will be available at the door.  Come and see the Salty Dolls take on the Dockyard Dames in what's sure to be fast moving and fun entertainment!

Elements Theatre Company presents Shakespeare's JULIUS CAESAR (August 8-10 and 14-17) Orleans- The Atrium of the Church of the Transfiguration at Rock Harbor in Orleans. Osterville Historical Museum (August 14)- The Osterville Historical Museum will hold its 23rd Annual Antique Show from 9:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. This much-loved event will feature 40 antique dealers from all over New England.
